howdy.
i’m val! you can call me val, or bandit. i’m not picky. i make things on the internet sometimes! they’re mostly comics or animations, but i and some pals also did a video game at one point. that was pretty neat.
i’m ace, aro, agender (mostly), and afourththing.
what have i made?
my current biggest work is robotic uprising (maybe), a comic about a robot who wants to take over a world that’s already been taken over several times. that spreadsheet that i just linked you covers most of it, or at least the first chunk. you’ll have to go on my comic server to read the rest! it’s command-based, so the audience gets to talk to the main character and decide what happens. i’ve got a few more of those command-based comics, like ai box tycoon, the story of a human in a post-apocalyptic wasteland playing an inane tycoon game trying to build a bunker. there’s robots in both. god i love robots.
besides comics, i do animations. you’ll be able to see a lot of ’em on here. there’s more, but i gotta upload ’em! i do most of my animations hand-drawn, using a light table and a stack of frames. and a pencil, and a dream. the majority of THOSE come from family parties where we all draw an animation to meet a theme. the titles of the posts usually have those themes. some of my animations are done in Photoshop Elements or Krita instead. those are the ones that… don’t look hand-drawn! i’m not gonna draw you a graph, it ain’t that hard to figure out.
finally, i write. i write and write and write. i haven’t… actually… published much yet, but i do write a lot of short stories! they take place in the comic universe from above, usually. if there’s something i feel comfortable sharing, i’ll post it here. you’ll be the first to know, i promise.
OH i completely forgot i also have a podcast!!!!! with the lovely MarbleMint, no less. we talk about twow, and life, and all that, and run a competition! you can’t enter the competition anymore but you can spectate and you can listen. if you don’t know what TWOW is, you can still enjoy it! you’ll probably want to hear the A episodes. those are us taking listener questions and chatting. the B episodes are interviews with members of the community, and the C episodes are live-recorded score extravaganzas. check out podcast twow here!
